Accumulate more OATs and win additional giveaway campaigns to secure more .inj domain names for yourself.

It’s essential to note that there is a maximum bid quota of five domain names per address, even if a single address has won more than five spots.

How to Participate in the INJ Domain Pre-registration Event:

The INJ domain pre-registration unfolds in two stages: the auction stage and the first-come-first-serve (FCFS) registration stage. The primary aim is to ensure fairness in the registration process while preventing bot activities.

**Auction Stage:**

The pre-registration initiates with a five-day auction stage exclusively open to whitelisted addresses, with a maximum bid quota of five. Here’s how it works:

• Early users can bid on new domain names and continue bidding on existing ones.
• - Bidding on existing names under the “My Bids” section doesn’t consume your bid quota.
• - The price of a new bid must be at least 105% of the previous bid.
• - If you’re outbid by others, you have the option to continue bidding on the same name or receive an immediate refund. However, choosing the refund option means forfeiting your bid quota for another name.
• - Winning an auction secures the right to register the domain name. The winning bidder can choose to register it for one year (default) or longer. The first-year registration fee is already included in the auction, rendering the first year’s registration free.
• - In the last 15 minutes of the auction, every new bid resets the remaining auction time to 15 minutes.

**Domain Name Pricing:**

We offer discounts as perks during the pre-registration stage, particularly benefiting early users. These discounts apply for multiple years:

• The starting bid price for 3/4/5+ character names is $180/$40/$4.5 worth in INJ, representing the discounted 1-year registration price.
• - 3 characters: $180/year, after a 40% discount to $300/year.
• - 4 characters: $40/year, after a 20% discount to $50/year.
• - 5 characters and more: $4.5/year, with no discount.

**First-Come-First-Serve (FCFS) Stage:**

The second phase of pre-registration, FCFS, commences right after the Auction stage concludes. This phase spans five days. During this time:

• Auction winners can register the .inj names they’ve won.
• - Other participants can register the remaining names based on their remaining quota.
• - For example, if you bid for 5 names in the auction phase and won 2 out of 5, the other 3 bid quotas will convert into “Register Quota” for use in the FCFS registration phase.
• - If you didn’t participate in the auction phase or didn’t secure any names, your entire bid quota remains valid and becomes “Register Quota.”

Format Requirements for Domain Names:

Ensuring consistency and usability, there are specific requirements for domain names:

• Name length: Each name must be at least 3 characters long.
• - Case sensitivity: Only lowercase letters are permitted; capital letters are not.
• - Special characters like “:”, “/” are not supported, but hyphens (“-”) are allowed.
• - Emojis are generally supported.
• - Different languages are generally supported.

Reserved .inj Domain Names:

As part of our commitment to the community and ecosystem, we’re reserving a selection of .inj domain names exclusively for our partners and dApps within the Injective ecosystem. These domains won’t be accessible for general registration. This decision is rooted in the belief that these names have the potential to accelerate the widespread adoption of .inj domains while enhancing the overall community experience.
